Sustainable. Fashionable. Ethical.
As the lungs of the planet, the ocean produces 70% of the earth's breathable oxygen. Reefs are a crucial part of the ocean ecosystem. Off the coasts of Florida, only 2% of our reefs remain. Current projections estimate that all coral reefs across the globe could be dead by 2050.
Each suit you buy plants one coral back into the ocean, and you recieve the GPS coordinates with your purchase.
Our plan to save coral reefs
When you buy a swimsuit, we immediately sponsor the planting of a baby coral in the Maldives. Scientists say Florida reefs have lost nearly 98% of coral.
With your suit, you will receive the GPS coordinates of the location where a coral has been planted as a direct result of your purchase.
Our current Coral partner is in the Maldives, and we'd love to tell you more about our efforts there.
Eight million pieces of plastic pollution enter our oceans each day. (That’s 12 million tons a year, or a truckload per minute!) Our suits are made from recycled plastics, nylon, and waste pulled out of the ocean. We are committed to using only high-quality, UV and chlorine- tested fabrics that are made from recycled ocean plastic.
This is, of course, fairly expensive to source and ensure along the line. When you purchase a Coralee suit, you're paying for a quality product that believes in sustainability for the future.
Our manufacturing process ensures that employees receive full medical benefits and food with a salary at least double the minimum wage.
We endeavor to add strategic ruffles rather than wasting fabric, and are dedicated to reducing environmental harm and waste in the fast fashion industry.
We are a small business, small batch suits made by women for women and the planet.
One swimsuit sold = One coral planted
Our goal is to suit you up to
celebrate a sun and saltwater lifestyle.
